Paragliding in Nepal with sky star

Paragliding is relatively new adventure sports in Nepal. Paragliding in the Himalayan country can be truly wonderful and fulfilling experience for the adventure - seekers. You can experience unparalleled scenic grandeur as you share airspace with Himalayan griffons, Eagles, Kites, while floating over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungles with majestic view of the Himalayas. Gliding is a weather dependent sport and flying season in Nepal commences from November through February. The best months are November to December. The Himalaya is made of the series of lesser mountains increasing in size, before the greater Himalaya with its majestic peaks, dominate the sky. The range that is now offered for paragliding is the Mahabarat Range, south of this giant. Most flights are out of Pokhara, the beautiful lakeside town at the foot of the Annapurna Himalaya.

There are various options for the Paragliding enthusiasts as well as those checking this sport out for the first time. There is 3 day introductory course for beginners, as well as tandem flights (where you fly with an instructor) for the inexperienced. Above 6000 Feet you sit back on your seat as your instructor takes you on an unforgettable journey. The take- off point for this journey is Sarangkot (1592m), which offers prime view of Phewa Lake and the mountains at sunrise and sunset; the landing is by the Phewa Lake.

Tandem Flights:

Tandem flying involves a pilot flying with a passenger. Both of them have separate harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. Paragliding harnesses are built for comfort and safety, they feel more like an armchair. After take-off the passenger just sits back, relaxes and takes in the epic scenery. Even taking pictures is not a problem. Paragliders can foot launch and gently foot land again and are very portable. We can take them anywhere and fly from most mountains in Nepal.

Annapurna panorama flights:
